Building on the success of Dialpad's VoIP calling services, the new software delivers better performance in the key areas of sound quality, ease of use, and customization. Now, with Dialpad, making phone calls over the Internet is better than ever.

Many enhancements have been made to the underlying technology to raise the standards of call quality and call consistency across the board. Users will be able to notice a higher level of sound quality in their calls. Audio wizards, audio quality settings, and sound device selection options are also available to further refine and optimize the sound settings to each user's preferences.
On the network side, DialpadChameleon is designed to allow more consistent usage with a wider variety of networks and firewalls. Audio transport technologies can be changed and ports can be switched to remedy problems that can arise from different networks configurations or ISP settings. Dialpad can even be used behind very strict firewalls that use proxy servers as gatekeepers for data coming in and out of the network.
From a usability point of view, the redesign of the DialpadChameleon interface brings extended functionality and new features to users. Calling is now much easier with an improved redial feature, an international calling code drop down list, and the ability to see the account balance in real time in the status window. In addition, the application is more customizable, with new skins, a compact mode, and multiple language options.
